In the Middle Ages even kings and emperors came through Gossensass and until the turn of the century the nice village became an important spa resort. So it is no wonder, that it has always been a popular holiday resort – for example also for famous writers like Henrik Ibsen.
Today, Gossensass still attracts many guests, because it offers many comforts: from pristine nature for hiking tours and adventurous excursion to enticing shopping opportunities in the nearby cities Sterzing and Brixen. Also the traditional market on Brenner Pass is always well attended.

And in winter, the vicinity is a little Eldorado for passionate “white” sportsmen. Finally, also art lovers will get their money’s worth, visiting the knave’s chapel and the baroque parish church.
