Holidays in the medieval Mühlbach
Mühlbach is situated conveniently between the two holiday resorts Eisacktal and Pustertal. It is a nice medieval town inviting you to stroll through the streets, to taste the culinary delicacies in one of the good restaurants or to enjoy the countless activities in the alpine region Gitschberg and Jochtal.
In Mühlbach itself, life goes quite tranquil. People stroll through the pretty town centre, go shopping or sit down in the next café, enjoying a wonderful cappuccino. For instance, in a few minutes there are reachable also the wonderful valley of Vals and the village Spinges, attracting with rustic farm houses and homely inns, as well as noble hotels and a perfect hiking and biking area.
Vals is a picturesque mountain village and part of the municipality Mühlbach. This holiday spot is an ideal place for families with children. Last but not least, they like the quiet and pleasant village because of the many secrets and mysteries which can be explored and discovered. In addition, you will see countless different flowers and herbs, cows and other farm-animals and you can take a break in many cosy huts and refuges and taste delicious South Tyrolean specialities, for example traditional dumplings with bacon or alpine cheese and "Schlutzkrapfen" (kind of pastries filled with spinach and curd cheese).
