Our family-run Hotel Edelweiss is located in a sunny and quiet position in the holiday paradise Meransen in South Tyrol. Because of its location in the skiing and hiking area Gitschberg Jochtal and nearby the Pustertal Valley, the hotel is the ideal accommodation for your winter or summer holidays in South Tyrol.

Relaxation & indulgence

As well as a stunning location, our hotel offers inviting, modern rooms and suites. In the wellness area, you will find a large sauna complex with eight different saunas and steam rooms, as well as relaxation rooms. The Hotel Edelweiss also offers relaxing massages and soothing beauty treatments. Our gourmet hotel spoils you every day with delicacies from Italian, international and South Tyrolean cuisine, which we refine with local quality produce and alpine herbs. We have refurbished our facilities and now offer you the new Edelweiss Sky Spa – Adults Only. Our wellness area also delights with indoor and outdoor pools, cosy nooks in the garden and an outdoor hot tub. The Panorama and Romantic Suites and rooms impress with their atmospheric ambience. Children particularly enjoy the playroom, whose two floors are connected by a slide. An air-conditioned dining room and buffet area with a show kitchen, as well as a fitness room, underground car park and ski storage room, are also available.

Meransen: A paradise for active holidays

Meransen lies at 1,400 metres above sea level and is therefore the ideal starting point for unforgettable hikes and mountain bike tours. With the free Brixen Südtirol Guest Pass, you can use the 3 mountain railways in the area free of charge, take part in the exciting range of leisure and activity options, and enjoy many other extras. At the hotel, we offer rucksacks and walking poles for hire, as well as a hiking library. In winter, a wide range of winter sports await you in the family-friendly Gitschberg Jochtal ski area, whose slopes extend right up to the hotel.

We only stayed one night, but we enjoyed every single minute. The staff were incredibly friendly and the food was excellent. The only downside we found was that the spa area could perhaps offer drinks like lemon or cucumber water, and maybe dried fruit or nuts.

We spent three days in mid-October at this fantastic hotel. We were very pleased with both the hospitality and the services offered. The staff was competent and very friendly. The food was excellent. The spa area and pool were exceptional. We will definitely be back. Kind regards to the managers.

A truly wonderful hotel where everything is just right! From the reception and the food to the room cleaning, everything is well-organized and the result is perfect. The rooms are well-maintained and the beds have comfortable mattresses. The spa area is highly recommended and exceptionally clean. The service staff are outstanding in every respect!

We spent a wonderful week in an outstanding hotel. The Oberhofer family and their team ensure that guests feel at home from the very beginning. The hotel and the rooms are modern and very tastefully decorated. The wellness area features, among other things, a large indoor pool from which you can swim directly into the equally heated outdoor pool. A highlight is certainly the cuisine. The breakfast buffet in the morning lacks nothing, including freshly prepared egg dishes. Dinner consists of several courses, including a salad buffet. Everything is exceptionally delicious. I'll spare you the trouble of searching for criticisms, as I wouldn't find any. We'll be back next year.

There's really nothing to complain about. The food, service, and ambiance were simply perfect. The room has everything you need. We just didn't get any flip-flops. That's not what we're used to. We brought our own, and it wasn't a problem.

The hotel is very nice, but the reception staff is really rude and surly. They respond rudely, even inviting you to stay somewhere else... but that's crazy, I wouldn't want someone like that in my hotel (a certain Sonja). The owner obviously doesn't know about it. It's a shame, because this unprofessional behavior gives the hotel a bad image.

This was our first time at this hotel. Unfortunately, our Gitschberg room faced the back, with a partial mountain view, but instead offered a view of a construction site. However, it was very spacious and very, very clean. The wellness area was super nice, as was the pool and whirlpool. We had this area practically to ourselves until early afternoon. What bothered us most, however, was that the staff (mostly young people) simply addressed us informally at dinner! We reported this, but no one was bothered. The staff's mood spoke volumes. What we also didn't like was the lack of "heart" in this hotel. Warmth in a mountain hotel is very important to us! We pay a lot of money for a wellness vacation, so we can expect a little warmth. We have decided not to visit this hotel again. We won't spend any more holidays there. It's a shame, other hotels in South Tyrol can do much better!
