A stroll through Bruneck

Bruneck is a little lively city in South Tyrol and this although she is more than 750 years old. In every season there are a lot of attractive leisure time activities and interesting cultural sights to visit.

The absolute highlight is the centre of Bruneck, called "Stadtgasse". It is said, that the central street is one of the most beautiful shopping areas in South Tyrol. Very nice are the many cozy and the some classy bars and restaurants, where families and friends get together drinking a coffee and chatting about everyday’s life.

Apart of the "Stadtgasse", the "Oberstadt", the "Graben" and the ancient Bruneck Castle are completing the cityscape. The nightlife in Bruneck is well known in whole South Tyrol. Many pubs and clubs with DJ’s and live-bands are entertaining every weekend a big number of party-makers.

Bruneck in summer

For excursionists and mountain bikers there are a lot of paths and routes in the surroundings of Bruneck. For example connects the Nature Fitness Park Kronplatz 275 km of trails and paths for Nordic Walkers and excursionists. For mountain bikers however the trail from Mühlbach to Lienz through Pustertal Valley is very interesting. More ambitious bikers prefer cycling into the mountain world of the Dolomites and discovering their own limits.

Also golfers will feel fine in Bruneck in surroundings. In the last years many had upgraded qualitative and address also golfers. In Reischach there is an 18-hole Championship golf-facility. It is situated close to the sports-area where in summer FC Inter Milan practice and near the new indoor swimming pool and wellness resort Cron4.

Bruneck in winter

During Christmas time Bruneck turns magic and invites everyone to visit the Christmas Market. Everywhere romantic lights, small huts with Christmas Tree decoration and - the most important – a lot of mullet-wine-stands.

But the great winter-attraction is surely the skiing resort Kronplatz. With 116 km of slopes Kronplatz is the biggest skiing resort in the Dolomites and even in South Tyrol. Experts find demanding slopes here and beginners and kids easier slopes. Beside of this, Kronplatz is connected also to the great ski-tour Sella-Ronda the most famous one in the Dolomites.

All in all Bruneck is lively centre of Pustertal Valley and nobody will get bored here.
