The kitchen team at Hotel Gissbach will spoil you with regional specialities from South Tyrolean cuisine – in the cosy parlour with tiled stove or on the garden terrace with a view of Kronplatz. Our indoor pool, whirlpool and new wellness area with Finnish sauna, steam bath, Himalayan salt wall, tea lounge and hay relaxation room invite you to relax.

Nature & experiences in South Tyrol

The Pustertal valley, with its diverse nature and impressive mountains, offers a variety of outdoor activities in every season. A highlight is the nearby Kronplatz with its perfectly groomed ski slopes in winter and a variety of adventures in summer. The valley station at Kronplatz and the historic old town of Bruneck can be reached quickly and easily by city bus. Our guests receive the Kronplatz Guest Pass, which allows them to travel free of charge on regional public transport throughout South Tyrol.

The hotel is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. When checking in, the receptionist explained everything about using the facilities—the rooms, bar, spa, and the comfort zone. Dinner is served, and the dishes are excellent, using carefully selected local ingredients. There's also a generous and well-stocked buffet to satisfy every taste. After dinner, there's a small, but well-stocked bar area where you can spend the evening enjoying a drink with friends. The spa area is very large, tidy, and well-equipped with amenities, including a salt wall, hay room, Turkish bath, whirlpool tub, sensory shower, sauna, and relaxation area. The staff, including the owner, are truly friendly, cheerful, and attentive to making our vacation as enjoyable as possible, always remaining very professional. We asked if they could prepare sandwiches for us for the day, and without any problem, they prepared what we requested, obviously paying the full price for the service. They were happy to do so, which is not a given. The experience was truly positive, and I recommend this facility to anyone looking for a relaxing, pleasant environment. It's also great for sports clubs like us, with 11 of us, and everyone was satisfied. We'll definitely be back.

I was here for work and had a wonderful stay. I can't imagine how wonderful it would be to come here on vacation! Highly recommended! Incredible staff, friendly, always smiling and helpful. The room included use of the wellness area with sauna and Turkish bath. You can only imagine how pleasant it was to unwind like that after a business trip. Honorable mention goes to the manager, Giovanna, and her mastery in managing the hotel. Impeccable!! I will definitely be back, and I hope it won't be too long.

The staff was nice, but unfortunately, it wasn't very clean (blister plasters from the previous guest in the shower, black hair in the wash basin, upholstery, etc.). I was very disappointed with the breakfast, as from 8:30 a.m. onward they only served rolls, no vegetables, no spreads, etc. The room doors have to be slammed shut, and they make a lot of noise. But they do have a nice wellness area with a sauna, which is new—this was definitely the highlight.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel between August 28th and 31st, and it was a pleasant surprise. Well-kept common areas, tidy rooms, a generous breakfast in the morning, garage and bike service, excellent dinners, and much more. Not to mention the recently renovated wellness area: a large pool, a hot tub, and a spa area with a sauna, Turkish bath, and truly spectacular relaxation room. But the real highlight of our stay was the staff. Always highly knowledgeable and incredibly kind without ever being intrusive. What I really loved is that at Hotel Gissbach, you don't just stay, you are a guest. For four days, we were Giovanna's guests; she was impeccable, attentive, and always available for any need. And this is what makes the difference: the care and attention given to guests. It's not the pool, nor the numerous comforts that almost all hotels offer these days. What truly remains is the way you treat your guests, the passion you put into your work, the smile with which you make someone's stay better. And we found all of this at the Hotel Gissbach. Thank you!

We stayed with friends. Finally, a hotel that offered a variety of gluten-free options for breakfast, very thoughtfully arranged. All this was complemented by the kindness and friendliness of the waitress and the entire hotel staff. Good food and a welcoming atmosphere.

My husband and I stayed for a week in July 2025. The hotel is in a quiet location, the facilities are clean and tidy, the spa is new and beautiful, the food is excellent, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Recommended.
