Year of Euregio Museums 2025
Under the slogan "Weiter Sehen-Guardare oltre” (look beyond), the second Euregio Museum Year 2025 presents around 30 exciting individual and collaborative projects across the European region of Tyrol, South Tyrol, and Trentino. This makes a visit to one of the participating museums particularly worthwhile this year: through exhibitions and event series, bridges are built not only across regional borders but also between past and present.
Fascinating Exhibitions in Great Variety
We are living in turbulent times – and 500 years ago was also a period of upheaval. The Euregio Museum Year takes the Peasants' Revolts of 1525 and the ideas of peasant leader Michael Gaismair, born in Tschöfs near Sterzig, as a starting point to explore themes of justice, crisis management, power dynamics, and forms of resistance. From the history of the Peasants' Wars to visions for a liveable future, around 30 museums in the European region build diverse bridges between yesterday and today.
We have prepared an overview of the participating museums in South Tyrol. Please note that while many exhibitions have already opened, not all of them have. It is advisable to check the website of the relevant museum for up-to-date opening days and times.

There will even be 2 special exhibitions at the South Tyrolean Provincial Museum Fortress Franzensfeste in 2025 to mark the Euregio Museum Year.
