Mountain inn guide

In short: In South Tyrol’s farms and rural inns you will surely eat with relish. In order to make it easier for gourmets to find the best farm bars, the Red Rooster – South Tyrol’s farmers association, publishes every year a gastronomic guide which includes exclusively this kind of restaurants.

This guide for the rural gastronomy in South Tyrol offers an introduction to the farmers’ world in the region and describes the best mountain inns, ordered according to the single holiday regions.

But not every farm bar will be automatically included. A rural ambience and good features are as important as typical dishes, which are prepared with local products.

The inns are put through their paces on the basis of certain categories, so you can surely rely on the results. The mountain inn guide (in German called “Bäuerlicher Feinschmecker”) is available free of charge in many tourist offices, next to the South Tyrolean farmers' association “Südtiroler Bauernbund” and Red Rooster.
