Summer in Abtei

The mighty peaks and wonderful, legendary meadows of Armentarola are not only a challenge for mountaineers, hikers and mountain bikers, but offer unforgettable experiences for all senses.

The most popular peaks around Abtei are Lagazuoi, Conturines, Piz de la Varela, Kreuzkofel and Gardenaccia. Proficient alpinists will know every single of them. However, hikers and nature lovers will feel like in paradise here too, as we are in the middle of the nature parks Fanes-Sennes-Prags and Puez-Geisler.

Those who prefer more contemplative activities will feel like in paradise in Abtei too, as there are the birthplace of St. Josef Freinademetz and the well-known pilgrimage church Heiligkreuz.

Epicures will love Abtei too: In the area of several kilometres, there are numerous gourmet restaurants, awarded by different gourmet guides, such as Veronelli or Michelin. In the Alpine huts and traditional inns, you will enjoy excellent dishes of the typical Ladin cuisine.
