Hiking area Alta Badia

When the temperatures get warmer, the renowned skiing area Alta Badia transforms from a winter sports eldorado into a paradise for hikers, climbers and mountain bikers. From Corvara, Kolfuschg, Stern, Abtei and Falzarego pass, modern cableways and chairlifts take vacationers on high plateaus allowing to admire breath-taking mountain panoramas. Not for nothing, the Dolomites are part of UNESCO World Natural Heritage.

Flowering meadows & rugged mountains

Sports lovers ascent directly from the valley, unless they prefer saving up their forces for a challenging fixed-rope route. Arrived on top, less experienced nature lovers and families choose a short path leading to a cosy mountain hut or a longer circular route. Alta Badia offers varied tours with different lengths and any level of difficulty.

Fitness & fun

A highlight for passionate sportsmen are the Movimënt Parks at around 2,000 m of altitude. The four parks on the high plateau between Corvara, Stern and St. Kassian are connected via walking paths and can be accessed with lift facilities or forest roads. The parks offer fun and activities for all ages: free climbing walls and slacklines, archery and bear minigolf, fitness and Kneipp areas and many other attractions are waiting for children and their parents.

Particularly comfortable

With Alta Badia Summer Card, you have the possibility to use all cableways and chairlifts in Alta Badia – except Lagazuoi cableway – without limitation. Twelve of the cableways also transport bikes. Being an approved bike area with 80 km off-road trails, Alta Badia is one of the top addresses for mountain bikers in the Alps.

Following all these open air activities, you can treat yourself with excellent food. Be it elegant awarded restaurants or traditional inns – Alta Badia is famous for a high culinary level, satisfying not only gourmets but also lovers of the traditional Ladin cuisine.
