Hiking areas in South Tyrol
Be it buggies, mountain bikes or paragliding equipment – most of the lift facilities do not only transport people and allow a perfectly relaxed start into a multifaceted mountain world.
Diversity is key
Arrived at the top station, unique mountain panoramas evoke the first aha-experience. Then, depending on the mood and personal conditions, hikers choose between a short path leading to a cosy mountain hut, a panoramic tour that can also be made with buggies or a challenging mountain tour.
Mountain bikers look forward to easy tracks without big differences in elevation as well as to challenging single trails or day tours such as Sellaronda MTB Tour.
Fun for all ages
Easily accessible with lift facilities, South Tyrol’s hiking areas offer enormous variety for families. Rapid descents are always fun: Be it on summer toboggan runs such as “Klausberg Flitzer”, Fun Bob or Alpine Bob or with the mountain carts offered by the hiking areas Plose and Watles.
Beyond that, there are a lot more adventures for any age: Outdoor parks, high-rope courses, petting zoos and theme hikes with interactive stations offer fun for everyone. The focal points vary according to the region, as the range goes from water worlds to slackline and archery. The Free Running Parcours on Watles is a highlight for cool kids and Rosskopf offers disc golf, a mix of golf and Frisbee.
Thrill & new perspectives
An extra portion of adrenaline is offered by Skyscraper, a 15 m high giant swing on Mt. Kronplatz, or Plose Looping. As well, tandem flights with experienced tandem pilots are a very special adventure: Paragliding allows to see the mountains closely being very far from everyday life at the same time.
