Corvara is located in Alta Badia in the heart of the Dolomites and touches Puez Geisler Nature Park. In the picturesque locality, tourism has a long tradition. In the 18th century already, the first mountaineers, natural scientists as well as geologists came to Corvara and were fascinated of the scenic beauty. In 1946, the ski lift Col Alto was built being the very first of this kind in Italy.

Absolutely worth seeing is St. Catherine church that is a famous photo spot mainly in winter. In summer, the church is a popular mountain bike destination.

Today, Alta Badia ski area in Corvara offers perfectly prepared ski runs for beginners and pros, a modern network of cableways and ski lifts as well as regional delicacies in cosy huts. Also, Corvara is perfect to start Sellaronda and First World War ski tour, with excellent après-ski possibilities too.

If you prefer the silence of the winterly nature, you should go on a snowshoeing tour or discover the perfectly prepared cross-country ski runs through the forest. Ice-skating rinks and toboggan runs are available too.
