Ski bus & ski train in Pustertal

Bus + train + cable car = pure skiing fun. In order to check if this formula works, you do not have to be a genius. Just try out, how comfortable it is to take the ski bus or the train to reach the ski lifts and slopes.

To use public transport for the transfer to a skiing area is not only a matter of comfort, but also an economical, quick and environmentally friendly alternative. You can save petrol, don’t have to ponder on travelling, traffic jams and parking and you do something for nature.

Stress-free skiing fun

A tight and skier-friendly transport network characterizes the holiday region Pustertal. In the catchment area of the skiing areas Kronplatz, Drei Zinnen Dolomites, Alta Badia and Tauferer Ahrntal, there are regularly running ski busses transporting winter sportsmen from their hotel or apartment to the prevailing valley station.

In addition, public transport - train and bus - connects the ski resorts in the east of South Tyrol. Worth mentioning is the ski train or rather the Pustertal train commuting between Franzensfeste and Innichen: on workdays on the half-hour, at the weekend every hour.

From the stations of Mühlbach, Bruneck, Olang and Innichen, you can take the bus to the ski area. If you get off at the railway station of Percha, you reach Mt. Kronplatz with the cable car that starts directly in front of the station. Moreover, the railway station in Vierschach is right next to the valley station of the skiing area Helm.

From the ski runs of Kronplatz you can also jump to the popular skiing carousel Sellaronda: Every 20 minutes a shuttle service starts at the valley station in St. Vigil and goes to Sompunt in Alta Badia, where they can move on to Corvara and the Sellaronda.

Free tickets thanks to the Holidaypass

The Holidaypass completes your bus or rail travel to the mentioned skiing areas. This free special ticket allows you the unlimited use of the ski buses in Pustertal and Alta Badia as well as public transport (including regional trains) throughout South Tyrol. The Holidaypass is obtainable from all hosts, who are members of the participative local tourism associations.
