Until mid-2027, important work will be carried out on the railway line in Pustertal Valley, and the so-called Riggertal route will be built. The Pustertal railway is currently running a full service on the existing line again, with trains operating as normal between Innichen, Bruneck and Franzensfeste.

Due to modernization work along the entire railway line, train services between Meran and Mals were suspended until the end of March 2026. Rail services in the Vinschgau Valley are now gradually resuming.
On the Meran-Laas section, there are currently hourly services (train timetable 250), with a few extra journeys in the morning and evening covering the entire route between Meran and Mals. At the same time, the rail replacement bus service (B250) will continue to operate along the entire route between Meran and Mals.
TIP: The train ticket is always valid for the rail replacement service. The replacement buses can also be used free of charge with the Südtirol Guest Pass, which you can obtain from many participating accommodation structures.
Please note: Bicycles cannot be taken on the replacement service buses!
