Skiing region Klausberg
Modern lift facilities comfortably take skiers from Steinhaus in Tauferer Ahrntal to an altitude of 2,500 m. Admiring the fantastic panorama with more than 80 three thousand meter high peaks, you can decide whether to speed down a steep slope or making carving turns on a more shallow descent.
Family-friendly skiing area
At the ski kindergarten, kids enjoy professional assistance or playing at Klausiland offering attractions such as Klausi Express, Klausi Castle and several slides. Children from six years and teenagers can participate in the Junior or Teen’s Club in order to improve their ski and snowboarding technique.
As well, they can display what they have learnt in a playful way. Freestyling beginners pass steep curves on the Dino Fun Line, whoops and small boxes., surrounded by life-size dinosaur figures.
Extraordinary experiences
Passionate freestyle fans will love Funtaklaus Snow Park directly at the K2 gondola lift station disposing of boxes, rails and kickers for beginners, advanced and professional skiers.
The “White Carpet”, however, realise snow dreams. Three times a week at 1 am, a freshly prepared slope awaits all those who would like to start their ski day a bit later. Thursday evenings are reserved for ski mountaineers with one descent to the valley and one further slope.
Tobogganing paradise
Near Klausberg top station, there is the spectacular Alpine Coaster Klausberg Flitzer. The 1,800 m long toboggan run is open all year and a highlight for the whole family. As well, every Tuesday evening, K-Express takes guests to a height of 1,600 m, the starting point of a five kilometres long, lit toboggan run for a very special night-time experience.

Der Klausberg ist ein Schneesicheres Skigebiet auch weil im Winter nicht viel Sonne auf die Pisten kommt. Daher ist es im Frühling schön zum Skifahren, weil die Pisten noch gut gehen.
