Skiing region Alta Badia

95 ski runs with more than 130 km of slopes, which are prepared by 40 snow cats every day, 53 lift facilities in all variations, a direct connection to the famous Sellaronda as well as to Dolomiti Superski ski carousel – all this and much more will await you in Alta Badia skiing region.

Impressive summits reach the sky and gentle snow-covered meadows frame the horizon. Winter white Alta Badia is a holiday region in the heart of the Dolomites with a very long tradition, revealing magic secrets to attentive observer.

If you combine this nature idyll with modern and rapid lift facilities, perfectly prepared ski run, a modern system of snow production as well as with inviting ski huts and exclusive mountain restaurant, the result is a winter sports paradise in a class of its own. Many international awards are evidence for this.

The best thing, without any doubt, is to experience the qualities of a skiing area by oneself. In Alta Badia, you can do this each year from the end of November until April. However, you should plan enough time, as the skiing area is also part of Dolomiti Superski and Sellaronda. This allows you to discover in total 500 km of slopes starting from Alta Badia.

Fun for the whole family

Alta Badia is a skiing area with a very long tradition. Already in 1947, the first chairlift in Italy was built right here. Still today, the skiing area is a modern paradise for winter sports lovers and families.

At Piz Sorega, snowboarders and freestylers are offered a snow and fun park with countless possibilities for cool stunts and breath-taking jumps, accessible free of charge. The snow park has two parts: the upper section is reserved for advanced skiers and the lower section is perfect for beginners.

Fun parks and ski kindergartens with childcare are the perfect place for the youngest skiers and snowboarders. In fact, parents can in the meantime make Sellaronda and the famous “Gebirgsjäger” tour.

Alta Badia does not only mean skiing and snowboarding. Après-Ski in the evening is very popular and many other sports and culinary events, where you can taste typical specialities and regional wines, are offered as well.
