This medium-difficulty hike to the central refuge of the Texel Group offers high alpine experiences and the option of several 3,000 metre ascents.

From the car park, a pleasant path leads up to the Fletscherhof. After about 1.5 hours of hiking you reach the Nasserreith hut - the ideal place to recharge your batteries for the rest of the tour. Now we orientate ourselves on trail no. 8, along the Ziel stream and past a thundering waterfall to the Gangl-Alm, where we turn left and ascend to the Ziel-Alm. From here it is not far to the Lodnerhütte, which lies at the confluence of the Zielbach and Lafaisbach streams. Here it is up to you whether you want to enjoy a delicious snack or continue your tour to one of the nearby 3,000 metre peaks of the Texel Group.
