Description
The Peitlerkofel is a mountain in the Dolomites that can be seen from far away and is particularly striking for its beauty of form. It can be reached via a very easy via ferrata. The view from the top is fantastic.

Route description
From St. Martin in Thurn you first go by car to the Würzjoch. There, hikers take trail 8a across the Kompatschwiesen meadows and climb to the west side of the Peitlerkofel. Having reached the Peitlerscharte pass, the trail now goes steadily up and down to the Gömajoch pass and later back to the Würzjoch pass.

Trains stop at Brixen and Bruneck railway stations.
Directions
Brenner motorway A22, exit Brixen, direction Plose pass, in St. Andrä keep right and follow the signs to the Würzjoch pass.
