Ortler Skiarena

Mt. Ortler is the highest mountain in South Tyrol and therefore a challenge for every mountaineer and climber.

Today, a large skiing area bears the same name. The Ortler Skiarena is the western equivalent of Dolomiti Superski, which covers the east of South Tyrol. All in all, the Ortler Skiarena includes 15 snow-sure skiing regions with about 300 km of ski runs in the holiday regions Vinschgau and Meran and environs. Also, the skiing area on the glacier Schnals and on the mountain pass Stilfser Joch are part of the second largest skiing network of South Tyrol.

The ski slopes are located between 1,500 and 3,200 m above sea level, so you can go skiing there till springtime, partly also during the summer month. For instance, in Schnals many ski racers and world cup skiers prepare themselves for the next season and future ski instructors absolve their training.

Moreover, families will look forward to great cross-country ski runs, toboggan runs and winter hikers in the ski areas of Ortler Skiarena!
