Route description
From the biathlon centre at Lake Antholz (1,641 m), trail no. 39 first leads through forest and then over scree to the Riepenscharte (2,764 m). Continue to the Barmer Hut (2,591 m). From here to the Jägerscharte (2,875 m), with a few short sections of snow to overcome. From the saddle, climb briefly up the west ridge to the Almerhorn summit.
Return: Back to the Jägerscharte and then towards the Staller Sattel and down to Lake Antholz on trail no. 11.
