Rugby training camp
In appealing environs with impressing mountains, dense forests and green meadows is it much easier to go in the open air in order to improve fitness and power.
Maybe Jacques Brunel, coach of the Italian national rugby team, thought the equally as he chose the placid Niederdorf in Hochpustertal as destination for his summer training camp.
Between 14th June and 3rd July 2015 the "Azzurri" squad will pass daily training sessions in the local gym and on the sports field and work in their power and endurance for five weeks. Because at the end of their stay in Niederdorf coach Brunel has to decide, which of the athletes will participate in the rugby world championship that takes place in autumn in England.
By the way: The region Hochpustertal is a popular destination for sports clubs. In the last years for instance the football teams of Treviso and Padua spent some training weeks here. And in July 2015 the football stars of Inter visit the nearby village Reischach.
A summer full of sports and action!
