Every year in January, the Country Wedding in Kastelruth revives old times and shows how weddings used to be celebrated in the rural region at the foot of the Seiser Alm: with a traditional procession & magnificent costumes, culinary specialities and music.
The highlight of the Country Wedding in Kastelruth is the procession, which starts at 2:14 pm on Sunday, 18 January 2026. The wedding party, dressed in traditional costumes, parades with festively decorated horse-drawn sleighs from St. Anna to the village square of Kastelruth.
A varied supporting programme with culinary delights and musical entertainment ensures that everyone who takes part in this event is in a good mood. Even if wedding customs have changed over the centuries, a wedding in South Tyrol is always a special celebration.
