Snowshoe hiking in the Dolomites
The so called pale mountains are a popular destination above all for nature lovers and passionate mountaineers. Nowadays, the rugged rocks and the green alpine meadows attract visitors not only in summer, but also in winter.
Between the end of November and March the landscape disappears under a thick covering of snow. Those, who would like the untouched nature around Rosengarten, Marmolada and Drei Zinnen also during the winter month, definitely need snow shoes, certain knowledge for equipment, orientation and safety in the mountains and some good tips for beautiful tours.
Recommendable and rewarding snowshoe tours bring you for example on the Mt. Zanggenberg, in the valley Tschamintal, from Karersee to Obereggen or through the labyrinth path on the foot of Mt. Latemar.
