Hiking tour to the ruin Lichtenberg

Lichtenberg in Vinschgau enchants. 14 glaciers build the frame of one of the most precious castles in whole South Tyrol.

The castle was built in the 13th century and till 1513 the Earl of Tyrol have possessed the castle. Since then and toll today the Earls of Khuen-Belasi own the ruin. Lichtenberg now can be visited. You can find the castle ruin near Prad am Stilfserjoch and surprises the visitors with great frescos and the dimension.

Tour description:

The walking tour takes 3 hours and a half and begins in Glurns. You pass the St. Pankraz dome ant the St. Martin church. Other stages are: “Glurnser Waal”, “Porzleithof” and “Höfesträßchen”. After 3 hours you reach Lichtenberg Ruin.
