Mountain pasture Tarscher Alm
Why? Well, many cable cars and chair lifts bring wanderers to the hiking areas in Vinschgau. For example the chairlift to the Tarscher Alm mountain pasture. This mountain pasture is situated in the holiday region Latsch-Martell in Vinschgau at 1,970 m above sea level and it is reachable by using the chair lift. There hikers find a wonderful Inn with good cuisine, a big meadow where children can play all day long and a lot of hiking possibilities to explore the surroundings.
Hiking tour Tarscher Alm Jochwaal
From the mountain pasture Tarscher Alm follow path 1 to Zirmraun refuge at 2,251 m above sea level. There take the path on the right side and follow him till you reach the pass at 2571 m above sea level. There you can find the origins of the 1872 built water-channel which conducts water through the valley Vinschgau. You can see also some channels which are chopped into stone. But also the view to the outside counts: from here you can see the Dolomites, the Adamello mountains and even the Ötztal Alps and the mountains of Engadin.
To get back you choose path 2, which leads you to Latscher Alm. From there, you reach your starting point in 1,5 hours.
