Entertaining family route WoodyWalk
WoodyWalk applies to the first part of the Dolomites Panorama route. You take the gondola lift Plose, the local mountain of Brixen, that takes you in about 12 minutes at a height of 2050 m. Right at the arrival children can explore the many coloured playground while adults may enjoy the spectacular view and some delicious snack on the sun terraces right next to it.
This is also the starting point for WoodyWalk, a path that is suitable also for strollers and offers breathtaking views of the Dolomites with Mt. Peitlerkofel and Geisler Peaks and the famous mountains of southern Eisacktal. Along the way there are numerous attractive stations, which provide variety and invite playing and relaxing. You can enjoy the giant sledge Ploseblitz, the bell pond, the „Do-not-touch-the-soil-trail, the wooden phone, and many other attractions.
For those who are hungry and prefer to be served rather than having a picnic, we suggest sitting down at the Rossalm. The Rossalm is one of the most beautiful huts in the region. It provides for the physical well-being, and offers great entertainment for the youngest ones. There is a huge playground, and sometimes there are even more than 60 horses right behind the Rossalm.
To go back you can use the same path or, if you want to get some change, you can walk along an alternative path which will take you back to the gondola lift.
