Hiking tour Hornalm
Hike to the Hornalm in Salurn in the Southern of South Tyrol.
High above Salurn there are mountain pastures worth seeing, which show the otherwise so lovely South Tyrolean south from its harsh side.
Starting point of the tour
Destination of the tour
This consistently easy hike begins in Gfrill, a small village high above Salurn. Here, hikers follow the E5 trail (European long-distance hiking trail no. 5) and trail no. 2/4 in a south-easterly direction and ascend on trail no. 2 to the Schwarzsee and Weißsee lakes, two mysteriously situated high moors in the forests between Salurn and the Hornalm.
From the lakes, take path no. 3/4 north-eastwards through mountains and dense forest to the alpine pasture. The way back is the same as the way there.
