Dolomites high alpine route 5 & 6

The high route number 5 is between Sexten and Pieve di Cadore, is about 100 km long and takes 10 days to be made. The difficulty is medium. 

This high route was devoted to Titian vecellio, the painter inspirited by Marmaròle, the mountains through which runs the high route. The course plays on Croda of Tòni el'Antelao on paths not particularly challenging, while there are more difficulties on Marmaròle.

From Sexten (1,316 meters) reach by car the refuge Zsigmondy (2,224 m). Passing Lake Ghiacciato through Croda of Toni, you reach the refuge Giosuè Carducci, from here you can reach in 3 hours Ponte da Rin in Val Ansiči.

If you want to reach the refuge Ciareìdo hours walk rises to eight and a half. From here you go to Ciarčido refuge or refuge Baion-Boni, reached in 6 hours. From here you can enjoy a magnificent landscape of the Dolomites eastern and those over the Val d'Ansiči.

Our next goal is the Bivouac Titian (6 hours). In this stretch includes the fixed rope  "Trail of the Alpini". Continuing will reach Bivouac Musatti and Bivouac Voltolìna. The next we have to reach refuge San Marco and the refuge Galassi in5 hours.

Our last stop leads us from the refuge Galassi to refuge Antelao and finally to Pieve di Cadore in seven hours and a half of walk.

Dolomites alpine path 6

The high route 6 takes place on the 2000 m, requires 10/12 day walk, depending on the preparation and colleague Sappada to Vittorio Veneto.

The high route is called "high route of silence" because along this path you will not meet anybody! This route is stronger than the others. One of the most important problems of this path is the lack of water.

High route begins in refuge Sorgenti del Piave. From Sappada you arrive until Piave. It follows the path marked 314 along the river. It follows left up to a waterfall. This leads to the entrance of Ciadin of Elbel, then south to take Passo Elbel. From Passo Elbel turn left (sign 315), then left for a forest until the Casera di Clap Piccolo. Here we enter the path 201 and following him to reach the refuge F.lli De Gasperi (1767 m). (4 hours)

Follow the path 201 to the refuge Lieutenant Fabbro (1783 m). (6 hours and 30). Continue west until the Casera Doana. Climb along the path 336 until Pass Thief. Go on in the woods until you find the path marked 207. It comes then to Pass Mauria, Torrente Tora, up to reaching Sources of Rio Vigogna. There towards the Val di Giaf and finally with a short uphill reaches Giaf Refuge (1405 m).

From Refuge go on path 346, until the Refuge Padova (1278 m). From here, take the path that descends on path 350 to Rio Talagona. From Bivouac Casera Laghet de Sora is reached Bivouac Griselin and then the refuge Maniago to head towards Erto and from there take the bus to Cimolais.

Go to refuge Alpago and Semenza rifugio. From the refuge descend to the path 923 and reaches the Casera Palantina, then a path leads to Canaie. From here you continue to trail 922 to Campon. From Campon in 7 hours and 30 you reach Vittorio Veneto.
