Whether you choose just waxed skis or a snowboard, a more or less winterized mountain bike, a streamlined bob sleigh or a self-mad vehicle: For the Speedking only your speed counts!
This unique winter sport contest in the holiday region Eggental is also the grand finale of the ski season and for leisurely athletes and unhurried sportsmen it is rather unsuited.
Even the perfectly groomed Pra di Tori slope in the skiing area Carezza, the venue of the speed race, requires quite a lot of skills – especially if the participants use unconventional pieces of sports equipment in order to reach top speed.
Without speed limits over the slopes
During the 4rd edition of Speedking scheduled for the 1st of April 2013 it will be necessary to beat the breathtaking record of 182.66 km/h, set last year by the South Tyrolean skier Dominik Paris. Of course, this will be a difficult undertaking.
Nevertheless or just therefore also this year several fearless athletes will venture to tackle the Speedking challenge, among them some famous winter sport pros and other skiers, snowboarders, downhill bikers and to tobogganists, who aren’t afraid of speed.
All in all the event Speedking ensures speed, tension and adrenaline – as well as an entertaining supporting program with music, food and drink.
