Route description
From the Winnebach car park (1,412 m) on wide forest trail no. 23 to the Astner Bergalm and Alpegger Alm (1,641 m). From the Huber Wiese, the trail becomes steeper and leads towards the Tiefrastenhütte on the Pfunderer Höhenweg. Shortly before the Tiefrastenhütte (2,312 m), you overcome a steep step. On the right above the Tiefrastensee lake, path no. 21-24 leads towards the head of the valley and the Hochgrubbachspitze. After reaching rocky terrain, path no. 24 branches off to the left and runs along the exposed final ridge to the summit at 2,809 m with great views of the Pfunders mountains.

From Vintl in the direction of Terenten, after the village follow the signs 'Tiefrastenhütte' on the left to the car park at Winnebach.
