Vinschgau Apple Days
In the fruit orchards there are ripening the fruits, while the pedestrian area of Schlanders turn into a unique "apple mile", offering a vast range of local products and many information about apple cultivation, signification and use of this fruits.
The Vinschgau Apple Days take place every year in mid-July. Visitors will find market stalls with typical products and goods of the Vinschgau, culinary stands of the local innkeepers and the shops in the town center remain open till 10.00 pm. At the same time restaurants and inn invite to specialty weeks dedicated to apples, too.
Apples from Vinschgau
The valley in the west of South Tyrol is known for its first-class and very tasty apples. The high quality is due to the pristine nature all around and the special microclimate of the Vinschgau, characterized by 300 sunny days per year, less than 500 mm of rainfall per year and high temperature variations between night and day.
