Water Light Festival

This special event enchants its visitors by illuminating the city in spectacular lights, creating a unique atmosphere.
Numerous artists from South Tyrol and all over the world will present various light installations and works of art, focussing on water points and cultural and historical treasures. These locations are thus reinterpreted and transformed, so to speak, into an open-air gallery centred around the theme of water and light. The focus is on reflections on ecological, economic and social aspects.
Water turns into life, light into art – that's the promise of the Brixen Water Light Festival. The next edition will take place in 2026 as part of IMAGINE PEACE. This project strengthens the collaboration and sense of connection between 5 European light festivals, which in addition to Brixen also take place in Copenhagen, Essen, Oslo and Pula.
