Markets in South Tyrol

If you would like to get to know an original part of South Tyrol, a very authentic side of it, apart from the image transported by publicity, you should explore one of the typical markets in the region.

There you can see how multi-cultural South Tyrol is: one speaks German, the other one Italian, the kids eat chips and the mums buy traditional farmer’s cheese. South Tyrol combines the advantages of the German and Italian culture and nowhere else as at the market you can see this mix better.

Throughout the region you will find smaller, weekly markets and farmers' markets. The bigger ones normally take place once a year on important dates.
