Waterfall in Partschins
The waterfall in Partschins is one of the most impressive waterfalls of the Alps offering a thundering spectacle mainly during the period of snow melting. You should not miss this unique experience during your holidays in South Tyrol at any case.
The masses of water of the waterfall in Partschins rush out over a free-standing and 97 m high rock wall. Favourable sunshine allows the drops of water to sparkle in all colours of the rainbow. When snow melts in early summer, the waterfall counts 5,000 to 6,000 litres per second.
The waterfall is one of many natural beauties of Texel Group Nature Park and offers not only a refreshment on hot summer days. The humidity and cooling by evaporation favour a healing climate due to the high concentration of oxygen ions. These stimulate the immune system, clean the respiratory tract and have positive effects on the whole organism. This particularly benefits asthmatic persons and people with other chronic respiratory diseases.
