Rauchkofel

From Steinhaus in Ahrntal (1,050 m) take the cable car up to Kleinklausen (1,602 m). Take trail no. 33 and follow the 'Klaussee' signpost to the Speck and Schnaps-Alm. Continue zigzagging on trail no. 33 to the Bauschafter Alm. On a wide goods road via serpentines up to the Klaussee lake (2,162 m).
The ascent to the Rauchkofel starts from the lake on path 33 over boulders to the Klausscharte (2,579 m). Now turn right up the path over rock and boulders to the summit cross (2,653 m).
