St. Magdalena in Gsies

From the St. Martin valley road in Gsies (1,276 m), follow trail no. 36 to the Karbacher Hof (inn). Continue along the stream through the Karbach valley until you reach forest road no. 52. Climb up through the forest to the mountain pastures and continue on trail no. 52 past hay huts and across the Vigeiner mountain meadows to a ridge depression. From here, turn right up to the Hörneggele summit cross (2,127 m).

Descent: Via the Almweg 2000 (red dot) crossing the alpine slopes to the Pfinnalm, on to the Aschtalm, and from here on trail no. 10 down to the hamlet of Huiben and St. Magdalena parish church. From St. Magdalena take the bus or another means of transport back to St. Martin.
