Kronplatz Ski & Music
For four days. South Tyrol’s ski area number 1, Mt. Kronplatz, will be the stage for street musicians and street bands from the whole Europe. From Thursday, 14th March until Sunday 17th March 2019, visitors can perfectly combine winter sports fun and unique music experiences.
From 14th until 17th March 2019, top street musicians will perform on ski huts and slopes, on sun terraces and in gondolas. More than 25 bands and more than 60 artists, including popular musicians and promising newcomers, will play unplugged and very close to their audience. The variety of music styles during this festival on Mt. Kronplatz is very vast as there will be rock, pop, blues, folk and Balkan music.
In fact, among the acts will be Clara Valente and Tribubu, Noah Kwaku and Ramm Tamm Tilda, The Mac Bros and Fil Bo Riva – as well as many other great artists and bands. Moreover, from 14th until 16th March, the localities of Bruneck, Olang and St. Vigil in Enneberg will provide designated places where the artists can perform their music as they like. This allows music enthusiast to enjoy unique live performances also in the city or village.
The highlight will be the concert by Tom Walker: It will take place on Sunday, 17th March 2019 at 2 pm on the big stage on top of Mt. Kronplatz. Tom Walker is a British singer songwriter, who has acquired an international renown with his single “Leave a light on” in 2017. His new album “What a time to be alive” will be released in March 2019.
All concerts of Kronplatz Ski & Music festival are free. There will be the normal ski pass prices with one peculiarity: On Sunday, 17th march 2019, there will be no single drives (ascent and descent) and no point cards. Of course, the musicians will be happy not only about receiving applause by the audience, but also about receiving some money in their hats. The motto is: Be generous!
