When the days are again shorter and cooler, for cows, sheep and goat it is time to break off their summer resorts on the alpine pastures.
In Sexten , the safe return of the festively decorated cattle and other animals that have spent the summer in the mountain pastures is celebrated every year with a festival. On Saturday, 19 September 2026, as part of the Homecoming of cattle, there will be the traditional parade against the stunning backdrop of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Dolomites in Hochpustertal, accompanied by music and culinary delights.

- Performance by the Heinfels brass band | Haus Sexten pavilion | 12:45-2:30 pm
- Performance by the group "Wio und di oane" | 2:30-6:00 pm
