Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike

The hardest mountain bike race in the Dolomites takes place every year in July, and it ranks among the most famous and most important bike events of the world.

It is a fixed date in the calendar of the mountain bike world cup and it demands best preparation and fitness from the athletes.

The participants of the Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike marathon can choose between two races distances: The shorter one amounts to 60 km and 1,570 m altitude difference and the long distance, which is also the world cup course, is 123 km long and has 3,400 m of difference in altitude.

Short distance of the Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike:

Starting point is the main square in Niederdorf. Then the racers follow the asphalt road towards Prags. There, a forest road brings them to the alpine meadow Plätzwiese and down again to lake Dürrensee and Toblach, where the participants of the long distance depart towards Innichen. The other ones proceed towards the valley Silvestertal and on a gravel path upwards to the farm Kurterhof. After a longer downhill the bikers reach the finish line in Niederdorf.

Long distance of the Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike:

Starting point is again the main square in Niederdorf and the first part of the race is the same as that for the short distance. However, in Toblach the racers cycle to Innichen, up to Mt. Haunold, down again to Sexten, where there starts another longer climb to Mt. Rotwand. Varied gravel paths lead back to Innichen and through Vierschach back again to the starting point Niederdorf.

On 10th July 2022, there will be the e-bike race and the kids race as well.
