The mountain village of Obereggen is located at 1,500 m of altitude and is part of St. Nikolaus/Eggen, a district of Deutschnofen, Here, at the foot of Latemar massif in the heart of the Dolomites, active travellers and nature lovers will feel like in paradise.

Only 3 km from Obereggen, there is the small village of Eggen. Worth seeing is St. Nicholas parish church with the Gothic church tower. South Tyrol’s capital Bozen can be reached in about half an hour by car.

In Obereggen, there are interesting events the whole year round, both culinary and sportive. We especially recommend the Eggentaler Schupfenfest in summer or the slope style contest King of Obereggen in Winter.

In addition to the fantastic ski area Obereggen respectively the nearby mountain pass Lavazè is characterised by a great cross-country ski centre. And as soon as the last snow has disappeared the area turns into a treasure trove for outdoor lovers.

Extensive meadows, green fields and dense forests of Obereggen hiking area between mighty mountains such as Mt. Zanggen, Weißhorn and Schwarzhorn invite to spend much time in the great outdoors: with cycling, Nordic walking, hiking, walking or other favourite sports.
