Hanspeter Eisendle
Hanspeter Eisendle was born in Sterzing in 1956. Since 1980 he has been a mountain guide and has been one of the best climbers not only in South Tyrol.
Climbing "by fair means" is his motto: for him, experiencing the very one exposure is more important than the Alpine challenge.
Eisendle has become famous because his numerous first ascents in the Dolomites and the repeat of nearly 1,000 tours there. All in all he was able to do 26 first ascents, he does rock climbing till the 10° of difficulty and Alpine climbing till the 8°.
Now he is over 60 years old and he never gets tired to explore new regions, rocks and limits. Since some time he has been travelling to Oman where he did a lot of first ascents, far away from every civilization. Eisendle is mountain guide and he has also discovered his passion for ski mountaineering tours in winter. His mountain school "Rock. snow & ice(endle)" offers a very special touring programme in and outside of South Tyrol, for instance on Monte Rosa.
