Mild temperatures, countless sunny hours and the alpine Mediterranean landscape make South Tyrol a famous holiday destination for cyclists. From April to November, numerous cycle trackers, racing cyclists and mountain bikers enjoy the well-developed network of cycle paths (about 500 km) and bike tours in South Tyrol.
“Südtirol Rad” addresses everyone who has no bike by himself or who does not want to take it on holidays. The 20 bike rental stations are situated along the South Tyrolean cycle paths and offer 5,000 bikes in total, including trekking mountain, racing, children’s and e-bikes. Trailers for children, dogs or luggage, helmets, side bags, children’s seats and much more are as well available.
The special thing of the concept is, that you can return you bike at your preferred station of “Südtirol Rad”. On average, there is a station every 25 km. The means of public transport will take you back to your starting or arrival point. In fact, you do not have to make the same journey twice and can decide spontaneously, how many kilometre you would like to cycle. The stations are located directly at the railway stations or at important traffic junctions.
The rentals of “Südtirol Rad” all have the same technical standards and quality criteria. In case of a flat tyre or other breakdowns, just call the number of our hotline and the rented bike will be replaced as soon as possible, allowing you to continue your excursions without any concerns.

The services of “Südtirol Rad” can be perfectly combined with bikemobil card. The advantage card is available for 1,3 or 7 days, allowing the free use of all means of public transport in South Tyrol. On one of the days, the bike of “Südtirol Rad” is included in price.
