Slopestyle World Cup Seiser Alm
Region: Seiser Alm-Schlern
At the end of January 2020, the world’s ski and snowboard freestyling elite will show their coolest tricks during two FIS World Cups in snow park Seiser Alm.
For the 4th time, the world’s best ski and snowboard freestylers will compete during two FIS Slopestyle World Cups in snow park Seiser Alm at the end of January. On Saturday, January 18th, there will be the freeski finale from 12:30 am until 3 pm whereas the snowboard finale will take place on Thursday, January 23rd.
Since Sochi 2014, slopestyle is the youngest Olympic extreme sport. The athletes show their skills in a course with jumps and other obstacles showing impressive choreographies. A jury judges the single tricks considering creativity, difficulty and execution or style. For the jumps, they evaluate the height, distance and landing.
With Seiser Alm cableway, you can reach Seiser Alm starting in Seis. Then you can get to Laurin lift on your skis or snowboard, where the world cups take place. Alternatively, you can reach the valley station of Laurin lift on foot within 20 minutes from the top station of Seiser Alm cableway.
