In the villages of Terlan, Vilpian and Siebeneich, every year has five seasons! The fifth season is the season of asparagus, a vegetable growing in these areas in the months of April and May and being the protagonist of every event and every table!
The Weeks of Asparagus are repeated every year as an important event in Terlan. During this period, many restaurants serve you many dishes based on asparagus, of course accompanied by excellent local wines!
How to serve asparagus
Soft and delicate asparagus is a vegetable especially appreciated by the finest palates! It is ideal if served with potatoes, ham and a traditional South Tyrolean sauce made of eggs, oil and spices.
