First and foremost Laas is known for its precious marble and the juicy apricots, which thrive perfectly in the orchards around the village. In addition, there is a less famous but no less tempting speciality that plays a leading part in autumn: white cabbage.
As regards vitamins, mineral salts and dietary fibre, cabbage and closely related types of vegetables are very healthy and beneficial. In addition, white cabbage apparently has healing power, because it strengthens the immune system, aids the digestion and lowers the blood sugar and cholesterol level.

Of this you can convince yourself during the Cabbage Weeks taking place between 14th October and 4th November 2023 in Laas in Vinschgau.
