Lake Antholz

The third largest lake in South Tyrol. In the background, peaks over 3000 meters, set among green forests and meadows at 1642 m above sea level, is Lake Antholz, a wonderful lake, next to the Pustertal Valley.

With its 44 hectares, Lake Antholz is the third largest lake in South Tyrol, very much known and appreciated by lovers of nature and mountains.

Path around the lake

Since 2003, a very interesting path leads around the lake, several stations explaining the geology, the flora and fauna of the Lake. The journey takes about 1.5 hours. In winter, cross-country skiers can do the whole tour of the lake, or crossing it when it is frozen. Near the lake, there is also the famous Biathlon Center of Antholz , where take place several Wold Cup races. Those who spend  holidays in Pustertal Valley must visit also the romantic and evocative Lake Antholz.
