Lilli Gruber
Lilli Gruber was born in Bozen, her parents were entrepreneurs, she is a professional journalist since 1982 and was the first woman in Italy to conduct a main news programme in the evening.
Lilli has been married since 2000 with Jacques Charmelot, she practises canoeing and skiing, she studies in Verona, Bozen and Venice. She speaks 4 languages, Italian, German, French and English. After her studies she back in South Tyrol and work for the dialogue between the different language groups. She works for "Telebolzano", and writes for the daily "L'Adige" and "Alto Adige". After two years of collaboration with Rai 3, she was assumed by Tg2 and Tg1.
In 1988, she begins to work as correspondent for international politics, first in Austria, than in Germany and also in the wars of Iraq and Afghanistan. She wrote several books about her experiences abroad.
Lilli Gruber has also worked in 1988 for the German public TV SWF and for the weekly "Focus TV" on Pro 7. From 2000 to 2004 was engaged in Italy and abroad with courses on international terrorism and takes some lessons on Italian politics. He works for the most important Italian journal as "La Stampa, Corriere della Sera," Io Donna ", "Sorrisi e Canzoni TV" and "Anna".
In 2004, she was elected in European Parliament. In her life, Lilli Gruber has received and still receive numerous honours and awards, especially for its commitment to protect the rights of women and in the field of foreign policy!
