Can recommend, very nice people

We felt completely at home at Pension Grafenau! A wonderful family business spanning four generations – you immediately feel the warm atmosphere. Petra and Franz look after us with their wealth of experience and hospitality, their daughter Vicky and son-in-law Fabian bring a breath of fresh air, and their two children make the whole place even more lively. The rooms are immaculately maintained and comfortable, the food simply outstanding – varied, regional, and always prepared with love. The bar is also a real highlight, with great drinks in a relaxed atmosphere. Everything is just perfect: friendly, welcoming, personal, and absolutely comfortable. We would love to come back!

As a family (two kids, ages 3 and 0), we were actually passing through with our camper van and wanted to spend a few days at a campsite in South Tyrol... Surprise - all the campsites in and around Merano were fully booked! We ended up at Pension Grafenau in Schenna (B&B)... a real stroke of luck! A wonderful, kind, and loving family gave us a double room with a balcony and a magnificent view of the mountains. A fantastic breakfast buffet in the morning, an indoor pool where the kids could have some fun after a strenuous day out, and a lovely garden terrace. But now comes the kicker... the evening meal. There are always two or three daily specials to choose from (e.g., cheese-spinach spaetzle, mushroom schnitzel with hash browns, or Florian's burger ). Simply delicious and excellent. Better than many restaurants with extensive menus. This guesthouse, run by generations, is highly recommended. The way they treat their guests, their serenity, and their interactions are truly something to be experienced. With the family, you don't feel like a guest, but truly like a friend.

A beautiful, family-run guesthouse. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are extremely clean, and thanks to the location right at the top of the hill, the view is truly breathtaking. The breakfast also leaves nothing to be desired – we were completely happy and will definitely be back!

The right choice? YES, definitely! We stayed for four nights with our 3-year-old daughter, and we will definitely come back. A very beautiful house with great rooms, a wonderful garden, and a swimming pool with a whirlpool.

A random booking turned out to be a stroke of luck! We received a very warm welcome and were given a lovely room with a fantastic view, air conditioning, and a top-notch bathroom. The breakfast, with fresh fruit, a changing selection of dishes, and a variety of egg dishes, left nothing to be desired. It was also no problem to get gluten-free rolls. We were able to leave our car behind thanks to the good bus connections. The friendly and welcoming nature of the hosts made us feel very comfortable and well looked after. We had a wonderful vacation and would gladly return.

A truly wonderful place. We felt refreshed as soon as we arrived. It was also very convenient with our very young children, as there was barrier-free access everywhere and a crib/sofa bed was available. The bathroom was brand new and spacious. A beautiful view, a well-maintained garden with soft, lush grass and fragrant roses of every color, comfortable sun loungers, and a swimming pool with sliding, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the garden. Our eldest daughter was allowed to play in the hosts' little mud kitchen and sandbox. That was so lovely and made her holiday so much more enjoyable. Update September =) ...are back again! Even in busy times, exactly the same warmth and hospitality as in April! Great, we think. The incredibly diverse range of fruits for breakfast is even more gigantic depending on the seasonal fruits. At least the always great breakfast buffet entices us out of bed. Beforehand, a quick swim in the in-house pool with a panoramic view and a visit to the infrared cabin will get the day off to a fantastic start! A small problem with the socket was professionally repaired immediately after breakfast! It's just great that the owner of the house is also a craftsman. What can be fixed immediately will be done immediately! Even when the house is full. Thank you for your warm hospitality and the always good atmosphere in your houses! Maybe next time we'll also use the bread roll service for a cozy breakfast on the balcony with a view of the mountains - your daily fresh bread and rolls are amazing! However, with the daily sweet surprises at the buffet, it's hard to stay in the apartment, not to mention your first-class egg service. Whether soft-boiled, as a crispy scrambled egg with bacon or as a fried egg with bacon - you can have your favorite egg served freshly prepared here every day if you wish . ... We would love to come back! An exceptionally friendly family business with an exclusive breakfast and a wonderful swimming pool with panoramic views! Delicious bakery rolls every day and even bread delivery to your room upon request. The holiday apartment is perfect in terms of layout, equipment, view and size. Loving but subtle decoration completes the high-quality furnishings. The elevator and the barrier-free rooms with an emergency call in the bathroom also allow visitors with limited mobility. The entire holiday apartment has high-quality tile and laminate floors. The huge balcony from the bedroom to the living room with two entrances is also ideal for a cozy breakfast outdoors, undisturbed sunbathing and much more. The view is clear in all directions of the wonderful mountain backdrop in the background and the beautiful Schenna further down in the valley. Simply: “Enchanting South Tyrol”!

The accommodation is simply top-notch; we couldn't say more. The entire family is warm, extremely friendly, very helpful, and knowledgeable about all questions and excursion tips, etc. The location is incredibly beautiful, idyllic, and peaceful. You arrive and are immediately deeply relaxed, feeling comfortable and welcome. The other guests at the hotel are also immediately friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is excellent, with everything your heart desires. The service is excellent. The rooms, although dated, are superbly clean, and everything works (of course, a small mini-fridge and air conditioning would be a real plus in the summer months ). But on the second floor, we could at least open the windows and doors completely for ventilation. We can recommend it 100% in good conscience, and we would gladly come back. Kati and Sissi
