Welcome to the Hotel Al Sonnenhof in St. Vigil

The Hotel Al Sonnenhof**** welcomes its guests in the centre of St. Vigil in Enneberg. The family-run company impresses with its vicinity to the slopes of Mt. Kronplatz (150 m) in winter and to the Dolomites – UNESCO World Natural Heritage – with Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park in summer. Our hotel is the right choice for active guests, riders and families. For our guests, we offer cosy rooms in the Tyrolean style with bathroom, writing desk, flatscreen TV and free WLAN. Several rooms have a terrace and wooden floors, and the riding room is jest perfect for horse fans. Bathrobes are available in your room. Via an lift, all premises can be reached without barriers. Small dogs are allowed for a fee. A charging station for e-cars is available as well.

Cuisine & wellness area

The culinary offer in the Hotel Al Sonnenhof includes a rich breakfast buffet in the morning, homemade cakes and tea in the afternoon as well as 5-course menus of your choice with regional and Mediterranean delicacies at dinner. The restaurant is also open at lunch and among our highlights is live music as well as the Ladin dinner in the romantic cellar. Relax in our wellness area “Historic Vital” with various saunas, infrared cabin, adventure showers, ice grotto, outdoor whirlpool, Kneipp basin, relaxation rooms, romantic hay bath and much more. Also, our lovingly designed garden with Kneipp path and natural pond is the perfect place for enjoying and relaxing.

Riding stable, hiking & skiing

In the surroundings of our Hotel Al Sonnenhof in St. Vigil in Enneberg, sports fans will feel like in paradise. Our riding stable with Icelandic horses allows you to explore the Dolomites during horse trekking tours, to take riding lessons and to experience much more. In summer, you are offered many hiking and bike trails right at the doorstep. In winter, you can reach the lifts of Mt. Kronplatz on foot – for unlimited ski and snowboarding fun.

We vacationed there in September. We were very impressed with the hotel, the food, and the very friendly and accommodating staff. We didn't lack for anything. The food was excellent. We also loved the wellness area. We felt completely at home. We would come back anytime. It's a great starting point for a wide variety of activities. The mountain scenery is simply stunning.

Great spa, that is accessible for outside guests with a day pass. We enjoyed spending the rainy day both in the indoor spa and the outdoor jacuzzi. The owners are very welcoming, and in the spa you can see great attention to detail.

IT'S NOT LIKE STAYING AT HOME... IT'S MUCH MORE! Every year we look forward to those 10 days at the Sonnenohof...for the remaining 355! Everything in this little gem nestled in the green mountains of San Vigilio smells of home: Fabian and his wonderful family welcome every guest to this magical place, where every wall, every detail, and every corner exudes tradition, family, and authenticity. Every square meter of the property is cared for with meticulous attention to detail and good taste; the warm, elegant furnishings convey a sense of peace, intimacy, and respectful connection with the surrounding nature. The courtesy and impeccable professionalism of the staff, who work quietly but tirelessly to ensure their guests' stay is perfect, is palpable in every thoughtful attention they give. When you're at the Sonnenhof, you have that rare and priceless feeling that nothing is missing: every wish is spontaneously and naturally fulfilled by an unparalleled team. Honorable mention goes to the Kitchen, the Chef, and his team, who create Michelin-starred dishes at every meal—delicate yet with inimitable and unforgettable flavors, plated with refinement and expert attention to detail. Finally, a special thanks to Antonella and Salvatore, who masterfully manage the dining room, caring for each guest, making them feel special, pampered, and loved from the first to the last moment. Every Thursday evening, a Ladin dinner is offered, a menu of delicious and generous traditional dishes that's definitely worth trying. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is elegant and welcoming, with a distinctive character.

The hotel is truly excellent, partly family-run. We owe a huge thank you to Antonella and Salvatore, who pamper you from the first to the last day. The cleanliness of the rooms, as well as the breakfast and dinner, are excellent. The only two negatives, which we felt were shared by all the guests we spoke with, are the price of water at dinner (€4 for a 0.75-liter bottle, I presume, refilled daily), and the €25 per night charge for bringing your dog to the hotel, but without a bowl or similar (not that they were obligated, but for €250 spent "for nothing," we would have hoped for a little more). Aside from these two negatives, our stay was excellent.

A beautiful hotel, furnished in Ladin style and expertly managed by Fabian's family and their staff. The service is friendly and welcoming, with helpful excursion tips for guests. The location is central to every destination. The rooms are spacious and clean, stylishly furnished, and feature large balconies. Recommended for all ages, including families. The cuisine is excellent, with a wide variety of dishes, and the surprise of an excellent Ladin dinner in the hotel's traditional stube. We will definitely return.
