Description

Beautiful panoramic hike on the sunny side of the Eisacktal Valley with wonderful impressions.

Starting point of the tour

Klausen

Destination of the tour

Bad Dreikirchen and Zargenbach Gorge

Route description

Start from Chiusa in the direction of Villanders, continue on the Villanders mountain road to the right-hand bend above the Pardell estate and take the road that branches off there to the nearby Stofels group of houses. From there, walk along the road to the Lafojerhof farm and turn off here onto the ascending farm track marked with no. 4.

After the bridge in the Zargenbachgraben, the trail leads us through woods and meadows, ascending southwards to Bad Dreikirchen. After a stop for refreshments, trail no. 11 (blue-white) leads us north-westwards uphill to a ditch with boulders and, after a further ascent, joins the Florbergstraße. On this road (still marked 11), we cross the Zargenbachschlucht gorge, descending slightly, to the Prackfiedhof farm and return to Stofels on the old farm path, descending through meadows.
