Route description
Cyclists start from Ora on the cycle path in the direction of Bozne. South of Bozen - at the foot of Sigmundskron Castle - mountain bikers join the cycle path towards Eppan-Kaltern. Then cycle past Eppan until you reach the Kreuzwegerhof inn. Turn left there and cycle southwards (below the Eppan-Kaltern cycle path) through the romantic Lavason valley along a dirt track. Bikers then follow this path uphill through a short section of forest and then downhill again through vineyards.
At a four-way junction with a crucifix and fountain, mountain bikers turn left towards Klughammer/Kalter lake. Leave the eastern shore of the lake behind you and follow the road straight ahead. Before you reach the main road, you pass a military installation and a group of houses. At the junction with Traminerstraße, turn left, ride past Viktor's snack bar and under the motorway subway. Continue over the Adige bridge and turn left at the first junction towards Auer.
